Pogosticking

OK, so Connor got a pogo stick for Christmas and ever since we have been having pogo stick contests. Brooke can't do it and Sean exceeded the weight limit so it has been between Kaylee, Connor, Cierra and me. My nephews Chance and Austin are also trying to beat the record but as you can see from the stats below, who is in 1st place.

828 jumps( I almost died doing it but I had a point to prove!)
2 jumps and still trying!

755 jumps(he wanted to beat me so bad!)

800 jumps(Sorry Kaylee, so close!)

Christmas

Christmas has come and gone and I am just trying to get back to life. We had a great Christmas as always. Santa was good to the kids and they were excited to be with their cousins. We spent the night at my parents house on Christmas Eve and woke up early to 7 kids ready to get the day started.

The girls all got matching pjs to open on Christmas Eve.

Kaylee played some Christmas songs for us on her violin. She is getting pretty good.

Brooke was very excited to get her Sleeping Beauty Vanity set and a new bike.

Cierra got the long awaited DS.
And Brooke too.

Grandma and Papa got a Wii!

While we were at my parents, Sadie decided she would have some fun with our tree. I was actually kind of glad, it gave us a great reason to take it down. It was dead anyway!

More Quad fun! (I didn't have the best shoes on.)

Oops!

Well last night wasn't a very good night. My car was parked in the garage and I was taking the kids to the mall so I pulled out, not knowing Sean's car was down by the curb. I felt the crunch and knew it couldn't be good. Sean was outside and saw the whole thing. To say the least, he wasn't happy. I just drove away because I knew it would be awhile before he cooled down. If you don't know, his car is his baby. He washes it like 3 or 4 times a week and he takes great care of it. He gets his oil changed exactly when he is suppose to(not sure when the last time my car had an oil change) and doesn't let anyone eat in it. I came home about 10:30 last night and he had pretty much gotten over it. Phew!

More sledding Fun!

After our sled was stolen from the side of our house a few nights ago, the kids were so bummed we couldn't go sledding. I called every store within 50 miles and there was no sleds. Yesterday grandma and grandpa called with a Christmas miracle. They found sleds! They bought them and I was able to take the kids sledding and they had such a great time!

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!!!

Gingerbread houses

Another day of fun while the ground is still covered in white. We have about 9 inches which is a ton compared to what we are use to. Sean did go back to work today and we went over to the Conner's to make gingerbread houses. It was a lot of fun to see the kids work hard to get the perfect gingerbread house.

This frosting worked great. It is powdered sugar, cream of tartar and egg whites.

Not our normal Sunday!

Today church was cancelled because of the snow so we went sledding with friends. We had a great time and it was a blast going down the hill over and over again. On this piece of tarp was Anna and myself along with 6 or 7 kids. It went flying down the hill.

Sean had his share of going down the hill also.

Brooke and Kiley.(Thanks for sharing your sled, Kiley and Madison.)

Cierra went down about 100 times!

We then went over to my parents house and grandpa pulled the kids(ok, and me too) behind the quad. It was a blast until I flew off the side and got snow down my pants.

We started really cautious and wore helmets and only had one or two going and at a time. By the time we were done there was 5 or 6 going with no helmets.
Brooke was a little afraid when she thought she was tipping over but they recovered and she kept going.

I may look a little scared but I was having fun.
