The Bolts Party!

We are done with basketball. I loved coaching Cierra's team but I am glad to have a little break. We had our end of the season party at Roundtable today and all but 2 of the kids were able to come. We had pizza, cupcakes and handed out certificates and medals.

Jacob being silly!
My 5th child, Meaghan very excited to get her award!

Luke was amazing. For such a small guy, he dominated!

Cierra did well this season and has improved a ton. I asked her how many baskets she made the whole season and she said "18", which was probably pretty accurate!
Carter, Cameron, Justin, Charlie, Luke, Meaghan, Jacob, Carson, Cierra and Jacob
I had awesome parents who spoiled me with a whole bunch a fun things. I can't wait to go out to dinner and a movie and then get my pedicure.(Thanks Jen!!)

Kaylee, Kaylee, Kaylee

When did my little girl grow up? I'm not sure but I know just a few years ago we were living in a apartment, just me and her. We would wake up to watch Barney and have the whole day together. Well, when I actually think about it, that was over 10 years ago and she will be 12 years old faster than I want to realize. In the mean time, I have managed to have three more children and find a wonderful husband that I could not imagine life without.

Since Kaylee is growing up and times have changed since I was a kid she has had a prepaid cell phone for about a year and that has served her needs. Well, it was time to get her a phone that she could use more often, so we put her on our plan and got her a new phone. She was so excited.(I got a new phone too and she has shown me how to use it, because I have no idea) I feel better now when she goes to friends house or on babysitting jobs, that I can always get in touch with her and we can call each other as much as we want without using our minutes.(I much rather be curled up on the couch watching Barney though)

Kaylee also has had braces for a year and a half and next month she gets them off and she is very excited about that too. She is a beautiful girl and now she will have a beautiful smile.(and I will be a few thousand dollars poorer!-hey, but it's all worth it, right?

Another big thing that is happening this year, is that she will advance from Primary and go into the Young Women's program at our church. I can hardly believe it, but it is true and I am trying to come to terms with it, and I suppose that is while I am rambling about her.
As a Young Women she gets to go to camp this year and she will be gone for a week. What will I do without her for a week? Well, I guess I won't have to worry about that since I got a phone call the other night and they asked if I would be willing to go to camp this year as a tent captain. So in August, Kaylee and I will head to Cascade Park for a week and let Sean figure out how he is going to work, take care of 3 kids and cook and clean. I hope they survive. I am looking forward to it and I think it will be a great experience for the both of us!

Really, I couldn't have asked for a better daughter. She is loving and kind and thinks of others before herself. She is almost always nice to her sisters and brother and I can always count on her to babysit if I need it.(she will ask how much she is getting paid, but that is too be expected, right?)

She is absolutely in love her with her cat, Sadie and if I let her we would have about 5 more cats and a few dogs running around too. One is enough for our busy family.

Kaylee has always struggled in school but she is well on her way to being successful. She has gone to two different tutors this year, three times a week and we have really worked hard and she has improved immensely. I am so proud of all the hard work she has put in.

So as I wipe the tears away, I think about the many years we still have together and that makes me happy!:)

The best sugar cookies ever!

Cierra had the bright idea to empty all the blocks out of the bin and get in it and ride it down the stairs. I happen to catch it and Brooke wasn't enjoying it as much as Cierra. Cierra went on to do it a lot more, while Brooke chose to watch!

After the trauma her sister put her through!

Kaylee had Activity Days today and they made the worlds best cookies ever. I have to have this recipe. They Were so good!!!!(and they looked pretty too.)

Don,t mind the foil on Cierra's headband. She was just being creative.

Happy Birthday Isaac!

Happy Birthday Issac! Today is Isaac's 4th Birthday. I have done daycare for him for about 2 years and he has become part of our family. Brooke loves when he comes over and they play great together!

Who wouldn't love this face?:)
Isaac's mom brought Cinnamon rolls for us to celebrate his birthday! We had to improvise with a match since we were all out of candles, but it worked and Isaac blew it out!

The whole clan! Just so you know, Cierra is not a morning person. You can probably tell by this picture!

A going away party

Last night we had a going away party for Monica who will be leaving for Utah in a few short days. It is very sad to see her go. She is the kind of person that you love to be around. She will be missed by all of her friends although I am excited that she is going to be able to start a new chapter in her life and I wish her the best of luck. I am lucky enough that she is moving very close to where Sean's family lives so we can visit her when we see his family.

Last night consisted of eating, chatting, water volleyball, hot tubing, basketball, arounfdthe world ping pong,(where I fell and bruised my face, leave it me-lol)cards, and more eating.

Unfortunately this picture is missing about 6 ladies but this is most of us!
Isn't she a doll? and no, I am not talking about me!

food, food, and more food!

A fun trip to Olive Garden

We went to Olive Garden with the kids last weekend and we had so much fun being together as a family. That being said, we don't do it very often. Do you know how expensive it is to take a family of 6 out for dinner? I had forgotten, I guess. Yikes! I guess we will stick to our 5 dollar subs that we can split and get for less than 20.00!:)

Brooke is funny!

Recently Brooke said this to me:

"I wished I lived at preschool"(mom says:sometimes I wished you did too!)

"I can wipe my own bum now because I'm 4!"(mom says:well thank goodness because I really didn't enjoy doing that job!)

"When am I going to be 3 again so I can suck my thumb?"(mom says:like that has stopped you! You still have your thumb in your mouth all the time!)

Kids are funny and especially Brooke. Why I let her get away with everything, I am really not sure. I guess because she is my last and I don't want her to grow up. I still carry her everywhere and it is driving me crazy. She is getting so heavy. How do I stop without her making a big scene? Ok, so that is what is on my mind right now!

Brooke's Preschool Firestation Field Trip

I went on Brooke's field trip with her preschool class to the Fire station. The kids had a blast and it was fun to watch them get excited about sitting in the fire truck. Brooke surprised me and let the fireman hold her and wasn't clingy to me like she usually is. Mrs Spencer is amazing with the kids and I am glad Brooke gets this opportunity to be with her friends and learn and have fun!:)

Does anyone have any cereal we can borrow?

We seem to be getting low!:0)
If you like Life or Captain crunch, it is on sale right now at Safeway for 99 cents. I love a good bargain. (I was cleaning out the pantry. I hope you know I have better things to do then take pictures of my cereal, I just thought it was funny that we had 29 boxes, and I will go to Safeway today and get more. Also we have never had a box go stale. This will not go to waste with 4 kids and a husband who has cereal for his midnight snack.

Cierra is the winner!

Cierra won the "kid that doesn't try my patience right before bed" award. She is the best when it comes to going to bed and going right to sleep and staying in her bed all night. Today I decided it was time to give her a prize. She was so excited because she has been wanting the movie Beverly Hills Chihuahua's and it came out today!:0) That makes for one happy kid!

Blue and Gold Banquet

Connor had his Blue and Gold banquet on Thursday for scouts. He earned quite a few segments and so now I need all I need to do is sew them on along with the other 15 he has. (Someday I will get to it!) We are proud of Connor for his hard work in the scouting program. He loves to go and his scout leaders make it a lot of fun for the boys. The boys got to choose the dinner and dessert, so we had pizza, ice cream, Twinkies and ding dongs!(oh, and there was salad but why bother with all that good food.)
