December!

December has been a busy month for the Elwell's. I'm sure your has too. It's catch up time of just a few of the things we did.

Brooke is being silly by the newly decorated tree.
Shaylyn(my niece) was baptized on December 11th. She was excited and well prepared for the day!

We got our Christmas tree a little late since we were in San Diego and believe it or not, it is still up as of today.(the 27th) I usually take it down the day after. Maybe because we didn't get it the day after Thanksgiving like normal so I am not tired of it yet....or I just don't have the energy to pack everything up. Such a pain!

We all went over to the Grendell's for our 5th annual cookie decorating party. It was fun for the kids and they made some great cookies.(except Connor..he made a cookie that looked liked it had been puked on.)

Brooke and Andrew. I told Andrew to put his arm around Brooke and he blushed. It was so cute!:)

We went ice skating with the Todd family. It was fun but a lot of work. It was hard to keep myself up and Brooke need help staying up too.
Soila (my friend and running partner)

Kaylee and her BFF Ashley!
Cierra and Fawnie

Jessica and Fawnie

Kaylee had an orchestra concert at Stahl. She did very well. It is amazing how good she is getting and she really enjoys it too. What a beautiful girl she is.

Grandma and Grandpa came to watch too along with her dad and Stacy.

Sean and I went to Bellevue for a night and it was simply amazing. It really was the best time we have had in a long time. I loved EVERY minute of it! Happy Anniversary to us!:)

We went to Gold Cinemas where you can watch a movie in comfort. The food was great and I was so comfy watching the movie. We saw the Little Fockers. It was cute.

Christmas Eve in new jammies. The kids were all excited and ready for Santa to come. We spent the night at Grandma and Grandpas like always and enjoyed yummy food, great company and lots and lots of presents.

Waiting for Santa! (The believers)

coming downstairs to check out the loot!

and plenty of loot there was!

If you don't already know, Kaylee is a major Justin Beiber fan and she loved this of course. I hate it! It has already scared my about 10 times as I go into her room. Will I ever get use to it? probably not. (it is a full size cardboard cut out and it looks surprisingly real)

Hope you all had a Merry Christmas! I am looking forward to the new year where I have already set some pretty big New Years resolutions and I am excited to accomplish them. Bring on 2011!

11 years of pure bliss.....

Well maybe not pure bliss, but close! Sean and I had our 11th anniversary on Friday and it was wonderful. We actually just stayed home and a great friend (Thank you Kathryn B.!!) brought us dinner. It was a nice night and we really enjoyed it. We are going to Bellevue on Thursday to stay the night and go to the Gold Class Cinemas to have dinner and see a movie. That will be when the real fun happens;)!

Here is 11 things I love about Sean:

1.He loves being with me and gets sad when we don't spend enough time together.

2.He is always complementing me and is always making me feel special.

3.He care about what I think and asks my opinion often.

4.He feels it a high priority to take care of me and our family.

5. His love for the gospel.

6.His love for our children.

7.His cleanliness and the fact that I will never have to drive a dirty car.

8.His nervous smile.

9.The way he holds me every night before we go to sleep.

10.He loves to see me happy and will do anything to make that happen.

11.He wants to look good for me.(and believe me, HE DOES!!)

The beautiful flowers he gave me to celebrate 11 years!

80's day

80's day was fun for Kaylee and Ashley. They really went all out. I'm pretty sure I never dressed like that but it was fun to see her get into spirit week!

San Diego fun!

Sean and I were lucky enough to go on a trip to San Diego a few weeks ago and we had a blast. We loved the warm weather and the quietness since we didn't have the kids with us. (A huge thank you to the Gaileys for keeping them for 6 days and my mom and dad for helping too.) It is amazing what a vacation will do for a marriage. We actually got to talk without interruption and get to know each other again. I would strongly encourage every couple to get away even if it is for night. It is so needed and I don't think you realize it until you do it!

We felt a little guilty doing some of the things we did but we had so much fun, it was totally worth it. Next time we will bring the kids.....

Sean needs the sun to stay sane so he was in heaven and loved every minute of the weather. As you can tell from this picture it was a little shocking to me, but I got used to it quick!

Try to find me in this picture! This was my kids favorite:
On a ferry ride over to Coronado:

Enjoying the sunny beaches. Sean wanted to swim but it wasn't quite warm enough for him but there were some die hards in the water. Sean likes to think he is a surfer but in all actuality he has never surfed a day in his life.

A ice skating rink on the beach. we saw 3 of these.

Coronado hotel:

We saw an awesome firework show on the beach!

This is the part I feel guilty about. We went to Sea World and had a fabulous time. It was so much fun. I felt like a kid again.

Sean was mad because he got wet on this ride. I had a ball!

I'm on that ride somewhere! It was so much fun!

Sean's favorite place to eat!

Petco Park!
La Holla

I miss the sun:

We went to the San Diego temple. most beautiful thing I have ever seen.

It was a perfect week!
