Halloween-at last!!!

After a long week of Halloween fun, the night of trick or treating was finally here. The kids went to four different neighborhoods(Thanks to Sean encouraging them that they needed more candy-Brooke and I stayed home after we finished ours) They were beat when they came home and they had a ton of candy. We will be going through it all tomorrow and getting rid of quite a bit but I guess it is just the challenge of seeing how much you can get.

Kaylee was having a hard time smiling because her face was cracking!

This is Connor and his friend Aj. We have gone trick or treating with the Downeys for about 6 years now. They are great friends and Kaylee and Connor love to get together with Aj and Ally.

This is most of the group before we left. Kaylee had her friend Taryn come with us and Cierra had Meaghan. Ally also had a friend and then The Conner's, The Ward's and The Grendells were also trick or treating the neighborhood.
I am glad to say Halloween is over and I am going to bed so I can find a costume for Sean and I for the party we are going to tomorrow, go to two soccer games, get Cierra to a birthday party and maybe fit in going to the grocery store! Have a good night!

YMCA parade

Today was the YMCA parade. I took Brooke and we met a few friends there. They got to play in the gymanstic room and then got to go all throughout the Y, trick or treating. Brooke didn't want to leave but we finally left after being there for over an hour.

Brooke and Kaylee

YMCA carnival

We went to the YMCA carnival and the kids really enjoyed themselves. They played games for tickets and then cashed them in for fun little prizes.

Kaylee definitely throws the football like a girl but she kept playing and getting more tickets.

Cierra had the throw down just a tad bit better than her sister!:)

They had a big jumpie thing for kids over 10.(That made Cierra very mad since she was so excited to go on it.) It was actually a lot of fun. Kaylee and I raced through the obstacle course and I hate to admit but she won by a long shot. It was really hard and I was winded when we were done.

When we were all done the kids got to pick out a pumpkin to take home. Connor came right home and carved his and put it out on the porch, Cierra and Brooke used markers on theirs and Kalyee brought hers to school today for her teacher.(she's such a brown noser-lol)

It was a very busy day but it was a lot of fun!

Last night the parents played Connor's soccer team. I now know why I never played soccer. That is way too much running. Up and down, up and down! Sheesh, I finally hung out by the goal hoping to score. I finally had my big chance, I had the ball passed to me and I was ready to hit it in and I missed the ball by a mile and Connor stole it. Connor tripped me a few times and one time he stood on my pant leg and my pants came down. That wasn't a very pretty site but I don't think anyone saw. All in all we had a great time and played until it was too dark to see the ball.

Party at The Conner's

I have such a fun neighbor. Yesterday Anna had a little halloween party for the kids. They played some games and sang songs and ate cupcakes. They were worn out by the time we left. Thanks Anna!

Brooke's Preschool Halloween Party

Brooke had a little party at preschool yesterday where they played carnival games and then they got to go over to Mrs. Spencer's house, which is right next to the preschool, and trick or treat at her door. They were all so excited when Mrs. Spencer opened the door and gave them a treat. Brooke is having so much fun at preschool. I am glad she is able to go with her good friends, Isaac and Kaylee.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Happy Birthday dad! Today my dad turns 60 and I want to wish him a very special happy birthday. My dad is one of the most important people in my life. I love him and appreciate all that he has done for me in my life and for my family. He is a wonderful grandpa. The kids love to see their "papa" and he enjoys them just as much. (I think-lol)

Trunk or Treat

We went to our church last night for the annual trunk or treat. The kids got more candy than they need but they had fun in the process!

Kaylee and her friend Katie(Kaylee didn't get in full costume since she had to go to her tutoring class right after.

Warning: Big Post, Take 2!

Wow! What an amazing vacation Sean and I were able to take kid-free. We had such a great time, we are still trying to get back to real life. My mom, dad, Mindy and Doug first get a big thank you for taking care of our four children. It was a little hard for me to be gone so long from them but I knew they were in great care and I am so appreciative! I owe you all, big time!:) I took 300 pictures while we were gone so I will try to post just a few of the last week.

Our first day in Utah consisted of a big Thanksgiving get together at The Thackers.(Sean's sister and brother-in-laws house) We stayed with them while we in Utah and it was so much fun. They have two little kiddos that are absolute angels! The whole family was so fun to be around and they were great examples to us. Thanks Julie, Aaron, Stephen and Emma. We miss you so much already.

As Kim( Sean's other wonderful sister) was carrying in the Cherry pie for Sean, she had a little accident. Needless to say we didn't eat cherry pie that night!:(

Janna and Blake came over for dinner that night too. This is the first time Sean got to see Blake after serving a mission for two years in Roseville California. Sean was very excited to see him and of course Janna too. They both are such great kids, we love to spend time with them. Blake is all grown up now and is ready to start school in January. We got a family shot of all that was there.

I love these ladies, I just wish I could see them more. The next morning we went to breakfast with Sean's dad and Lois and her daughter Carrie and family. It was great to be able to visit with them also.
Wes didn't want to sit with the rest of the family and Trinity wasn't interestd in looking at me!
We went down to Temple square and of course it was as beautiful as ever . I love to walk around and see all the beautiful brides that have just gotten married and see how happy they are. On Sunday we went to church to see Blake give his homecoming talk. He did an excellent job and it is amazing how grown up he is now. It was fun to hear about some experiences he had on his mission and to see how he has changed.
Afterwards, I had to snap a few more pictures.:) This is the Scadlock Family. Sean and Terry were best friends growing up and he doesn't get to see him very often, so it was nice to see him and his family.
Afterwards we went over to Blake and Janna's house for a luncheon.
These are the beautiful trees that line the streets of Kim and Alan's neighborhood. They were so pretty but there was a ton of leaves on the ground. Sean would go crazy if they were in our yard. When we go to Utah, we always go and visit Sean's brother, Stephen. He passed away 12 years ago.
I took some family pictures for Julie and Aaron. I am not a photographer by any means but they asked so I was happy to get a few shots. It was fun to try and get the kids to smile.
We arrived in Vegas on Monday morning and we stayed until Friday. We stayed at the Luxor which was fun but I don't think we will need to go back for awhile. Since we don't drink or gamble I think we did and saw everything we needed to do and see. Actually there are a few more shows I would love to have seen but that can wait as few years.

We went to the Stratosphere where we rod the big shot on the very top. I have to say it was probably the most scariest thing I had ever done. I was shaking when I got off and it took me quite awhile to calm myself. That is why it looks like I may throw up at any moment.
I Can't tell you how high it is but just imagine going on the extreme scream(at the Puyallup fair) on top of the space needle.(Yikes!)
We went to Mystere the first night we got there with Kim and Alan. It was a great show. We didn't know really what to expect but we were quite pleased.

Alan hit the blackjack table before breakfast the next morning and got very lucky. I had never gambled in my life decided that if he could do it, maybe I could too. I now know why they say gambling is addicting. I lost 60.00 in a matter of 15 minutes. I was up and then I kept playing and lost it all. I will never do that again.
see: no money in my hands!:(
We took a drive out to Hoover Dam . I was glad we went. It was very interesting to see and we got away from the strip for a little while.

I hope he wasn't thinking of jumping. I had to know if anyone had though, so we asked the guard and he said they get one a year. That is pretty scary.

We then went to the Las Vegas temple. It is beautiful and we enjoyed being there with Kim and Alan. We had such a great time being with them it was sad that they had to leave the next day but we will always cherish the time we had being there with them. Kim makes me life all the time. She is always laughing at something and it is very contagious. I laughed more in two days then I have in a month! Thanks for the great time .

Thanks to Kim adn Alan we also saw the Blue amn group. I would highly recommend this one. We had a blast and I would see it again in a heartbeat. It was very entertaining. We saw the musical Mamma Mia and I don't think I am a musical kind of girl but I loved it. Sean even admited that he liked it too.
The New York New York roller coaster was a blast. Maybe not worth the 28.00 we spent to go on it, but it was fun.

I loved seeing the lions at the MGM with their trainers. I find lions to be very interresting animals and I love to watch them. We only went to the pool once even though it was quite warm. Just to much else to do, I guess. Unfortunately we didn't get a shot of me. Ha-ha!

I had to relive childhood memories and go to Circus Circus. I won animals for all the kids and we watched a little juggling act but I have to say, the place is a dump. I would never bring my kids to Las Vegas. I know it was different 20 years ago when my parents took me but now it is so run down, it's a little sad.
The Bellagio was beautiful, I loved all the fall decorations and the fountains in the front that would go off to music.
It was a great trip and I was glad to spend some time with Sean but I am glad to be home and back to my whole family.
Sean did some yard work on Saturday while I was gone all day at our ward's Super Saturday. I love how he shakes the tree before he rakes the leaves. I guess it saves time in the long run.

Connor even helped a little.

Kaylee just played around and took pictures.
After a long day, we came home to this sitting on our counter. Thanks to the Conner's who missed us while we were gone! Your awesome.
And last but not least, We went to the pumkin patch yesterday. Kalyee and Connor went with their dads but they went and got pumpkins too. So after church today we all carved pumpkins and had a great time.
Cierra had her primary program and did a her part perfectly. She was so proud of herself. So were we.

Cierra decided she wanted new parents:)

disclaimer: I know I have misspelled words and the pictures are too far apart but I am tired and I don't want to go back and fix things, Sorry! I am exhausted and need to rest before the week begins! Have a great night.
