Warning: Big Post, Take 2!

Wow! What an amazing vacation Sean and I were able to take kid-free. We had such a great time, we are still trying to get back to real life. My mom, dad, Mindy and Doug first get a big thank you for taking care of our four children. It was a little hard for me to be gone so long from them but I knew they were in great care and I am so appreciative! I owe you all, big time!:) I took 300 pictures while we were gone so I will try to post just a few of the last week.

Our first day in Utah consisted of a big Thanksgiving get together at The Thackers.(Sean's sister and brother-in-laws house) We stayed with them while we in Utah and it was so much fun. They have two little kiddos that are absolute angels! The whole family was so fun to be around and they were great examples to us. Thanks Julie, Aaron, Stephen and Emma. We miss you so much already.

As Kim( Sean's other wonderful sister) was carrying in the Cherry pie for Sean, she had a little accident. Needless to say we didn't eat cherry pie that night!:(

Janna and Blake came over for dinner that night too. This is the first time Sean got to see Blake after serving a mission for two years in Roseville California. Sean was very excited to see him and of course Janna too. They both are such great kids, we love to spend time with them. Blake is all grown up now and is ready to start school in January. We got a family shot of all that was there.

I love these ladies, I just wish I could see them more. The next morning we went to breakfast with Sean's dad and Lois and her daughter Carrie and family. It was great to be able to visit with them also.
Wes didn't want to sit with the rest of the family and Trinity wasn't interestd in looking at me!
We went down to Temple square and of course it was as beautiful as ever . I love to walk around and see all the beautiful brides that have just gotten married and see how happy they are. On Sunday we went to church to see Blake give his homecoming talk. He did an excellent job and it is amazing how grown up he is now. It was fun to hear about some experiences he had on his mission and to see how he has changed.
Afterwards, I had to snap a few more pictures.:) This is the Scadlock Family. Sean and Terry were best friends growing up and he doesn't get to see him very often, so it was nice to see him and his family.
Afterwards we went over to Blake and Janna's house for a luncheon.
These are the beautiful trees that line the streets of Kim and Alan's neighborhood. They were so pretty but there was a ton of leaves on the ground. Sean would go crazy if they were in our yard. When we go to Utah, we always go and visit Sean's brother, Stephen. He passed away 12 years ago.
I took some family pictures for Julie and Aaron. I am not a photographer by any means but they asked so I was happy to get a few shots. It was fun to try and get the kids to smile.
We arrived in Vegas on Monday morning and we stayed until Friday. We stayed at the Luxor which was fun but I don't think we will need to go back for awhile. Since we don't drink or gamble I think we did and saw everything we needed to do and see. Actually there are a few more shows I would love to have seen but that can wait as few years.

We went to the Stratosphere where we rod the big shot on the very top. I have to say it was probably the most scariest thing I had ever done. I was shaking when I got off and it took me quite awhile to calm myself. That is why it looks like I may throw up at any moment.
I Can't tell you how high it is but just imagine going on the extreme scream(at the Puyallup fair) on top of the space needle.(Yikes!)
We went to Mystere the first night we got there with Kim and Alan. It was a great show. We didn't know really what to expect but we were quite pleased.

Alan hit the blackjack table before breakfast the next morning and got very lucky. I had never gambled in my life decided that if he could do it, maybe I could too. I now know why they say gambling is addicting. I lost 60.00 in a matter of 15 minutes. I was up and then I kept playing and lost it all. I will never do that again.
see: no money in my hands!:(
We took a drive out to Hoover Dam . I was glad we went. It was very interesting to see and we got away from the strip for a little while.

I hope he wasn't thinking of jumping. I had to know if anyone had though, so we asked the guard and he said they get one a year. That is pretty scary.

We then went to the Las Vegas temple. It is beautiful and we enjoyed being there with Kim and Alan. We had such a great time being with them it was sad that they had to leave the next day but we will always cherish the time we had being there with them. Kim makes me life all the time. She is always laughing at something and it is very contagious. I laughed more in two days then I have in a month! Thanks for the great time .

Thanks to Kim adn Alan we also saw the Blue amn group. I would highly recommend this one. We had a blast and I would see it again in a heartbeat. It was very entertaining. We saw the musical Mamma Mia and I don't think I am a musical kind of girl but I loved it. Sean even admited that he liked it too.
The New York New York roller coaster was a blast. Maybe not worth the 28.00 we spent to go on it, but it was fun.

I loved seeing the lions at the MGM with their trainers. I find lions to be very interresting animals and I love to watch them. We only went to the pool once even though it was quite warm. Just to much else to do, I guess. Unfortunately we didn't get a shot of me. Ha-ha!

I had to relive childhood memories and go to Circus Circus. I won animals for all the kids and we watched a little juggling act but I have to say, the place is a dump. I would never bring my kids to Las Vegas. I know it was different 20 years ago when my parents took me but now it is so run down, it's a little sad.
The Bellagio was beautiful, I loved all the fall decorations and the fountains in the front that would go off to music.
It was a great trip and I was glad to spend some time with Sean but I am glad to be home and back to my whole family.
Sean did some yard work on Saturday while I was gone all day at our ward's Super Saturday. I love how he shakes the tree before he rakes the leaves. I guess it saves time in the long run.

Connor even helped a little.

Kaylee just played around and took pictures.
After a long day, we came home to this sitting on our counter. Thanks to the Conner's who missed us while we were gone! Your awesome.
And last but not least, We went to the pumkin patch yesterday. Kalyee and Connor went with their dads but they went and got pumpkins too. So after church today we all carved pumpkins and had a great time.
Cierra had her primary program and did a her part perfectly. She was so proud of herself. So were we.

Cierra decided she wanted new parents:)

disclaimer: I know I have misspelled words and the pictures are too far apart but I am tired and I don't want to go back and fix things, Sorry! I am exhausted and need to rest before the week begins! Have a great night.

Love it! Love it! LOVE it! You take great pictures and it was a really fun post to read (who cares about spelling and spacing!) :)Making memories (and documenting them) is exhausting! And the fallout for moms is is nearly constant. So give yourself a few days...You and Sean look so happy. What a neat trip!

I love Vegas. Eric & I love going there together. I love to people watch. Never in my life have I seen so many interesting people than on the Vegas strip. Last time we were there we saw the Blue Man Group too. Very entertaining. Oh & Eric MADE me go on the stupid ride on top of the Stratusphere (spelling, sorry) and it is the worst experience in my life. But the picture is really funny though, I look like I'm going to die! Glad that you had fun!
