Well, my husband for one, but I sometimes think Cierra does too. Anyways, I know I have blogged about our shoe problem before but Cierra's bin has been overflowing lately so I took them all out to go through them and see if I can get rid of a few. She has 20 pairs.(plus the ones she is wearing right now) I am no pack rat by any means, if something isn't being used, I say get rid of it but she wears all of them. What should I do? Please help me!

Happy Birthday Brooke!
Brooke officially turned 4 today! She already had her big princess party so today after preschool, I took Brooke and her 3 "boy" friends to Chuck E. Cheese. They had a lot of fun and all four of them were very good.
I was able to be the parent helper today for preschool, which I love. Mrs. Spencer is awesome and it so fun to see how the kids listen and learn from her.
Brooke brought stuffy for show and tell and Mrs. Spencer showed Brooke how she could hold stuffy while she was sleeping instead of sucking her thumb to comfort her. Brooke thought it was a good idea so we will see if it works.

Science Projects done!
We are finally done with science projects with hours to spare. I am proud of Kaylee and Connor for all the hard work they did. They did almost all the work by themselves with the exception of Sean helping to make the graph.

Old Country Buffet
Old Country Buffet (or as Sean would call it, Old Puke Buffet) was our dinner tonight. Sean is out of town and he absolutely will not step foot in a buffet and the kids love it so we went. Sean is right, it is gross. The food is nasty and it is dirty and you walk by peoples tables and they have like 20 plates piled up. Anyways I promised Kaylee the next time Sean went out of town, we would go. So here we are and I had to blog about it so Sean wouldn't feel like he missed out.-lol
(Even though he is enjoying nights out all week at places like the Cheescake Factory-lucky him!)

Valentine's Date!
This may be a lengthy post because I am going to write in detail why I had the best Valentines ever and I have to warn you that this is PG-13 so if you want to stop now, please do. Sean and Josh really thought outside the box and put a lot of thought into Valentines Day. Jen and I had no idea what to expect but when we left and Sean suggested I grab a coat and he handed me a flashlight, I got a little curious. We met at the Carver’s where Josh gave us specific instructions to wait 15 minutes and then open up the envelope they left for us. That was it and they were gone. We did wait the 15 minutes and when it was 7:00 on the dot we tore open the first of many clues to this very fun scavenger hunt we went on.
The first clue read, “What number does Dallas Cowboy’s Quarterback , Tony Romo wear?”
I was pretty sure it was number 9 so we had to go to 9 on the list and it read: There is no love more pure than that of children for their parents. Go to where the “Coyotes roam you’ll find the next clue where cotton leads the way.
Jen knew the answer to this one and so we went to Jacob’s school and by Mrs. Cotton’s classroom was two roses and our next clue. This clue read: Josh got his first married traffic ticket on his honeymoon, in what state did this happen? Well, the answer was Idaho so we went to the list and found Idaho.
This is what it said: The business of sports is very competitive, but it was during a late night 1-on-1 where these players scored! Brandi Chastain never played a game of “soccer” like was played here.
Ok, this is where it gets PG-13. I knew the answer to this question because there was a night a year or two back when Sean and I tested out the soccer field at the Silver Creek Park. We where on our way to find our next clue. It was very dark and the ground was very mushy but we managed after a little help to find our next clue by the goal post on the field. By this time we were a little cold but we were having so much fun, we continued on. This clue read: What are the colors of Josh’s favorite basketball team. We went to the list and found purple and gold and it said: The heart is where love is stored in bunches, but for everything else you gotta store it here. In order to gain access to Building “C”, you need to input the birthday of Joshua Lee!
This was the storage shed that Josh keeps for his “drugs.” (Did I mention he is a drug rep?) Jen got us to the Gotta Store it storage and after searching for the right one, I finally came upon the roses and the next clue.
What is the Elwell’s lot number? Our house sits on lot #4 so I went to 4 on the list and it read: Chicks may dig the long ball, but in this sport it is the short game that matters. It’s an early Saturday morning tradition for the boys in the summer.(we knew it had to be at a golf course) Head East on GHD and pass through the light. Go near a green shed where there is a hole for practice and you will find your next clue.
Well, we found a few different sheds and the big security lights turned on and we thought we were going to be arrested or shot at but we finally found the next clue.(and a few golf balls)
How many combined years have we been married. (according to husband math) Jen and Josh have been married 10 and Sean and I have 9 so that equals 19 but of course there wasn’t 19 on the list. 18 was on there and it turns out Sean was a little off. 18 read: They say on this day of love, the way to a women’s heart is with fancy gifts made with gold or diamonds. The key to a mans heart is in his stomach, lucky for you they have a drive thru-just remember “no pickles, no onions for him and the crew”
Jen knew it was McDonalds and we were a little afraid we were going to have to go through the drive thru but as we approached we saw our next clue and the roses by the drive thru sign.
Recently it was discovered at the South Hill mall that they have a store that has some cute “business attire” in it. How much was the outfit that we liked?
It was $58. We went to the number 58 and it read: Valentine’s Day is a retailer’s dream and so it’s to this store we send our sweet team. Anything and everything can be found cheap at this “mart”, even sexy things for our naughty parts! Don’t go in, along the south side look through the racks if you’re under the sign that talks about lube, you’ve gone too far retrace your tracks.
So we both thought that it was Victoria Secret in the mall. We head all the way down the mall and start looking in the racks of “business” attire and read the clue again. We had to laugh when we realized they were talking about Walmart and we had driven way past it. The clue was in some tire racks by the oil and “lube” sign! We lost a lot of time on that one! oops!
That clue read: Where did Sean propose? That one was easy! He proposed to me at Chevron and that is a whole other story.
Under Chevron on the list it read: There are several legends around Valentines Day. Your next destination is one that some may know well. There’s knowledge inside for young and the old, where we can learn all about cupid and St. Valentine. You can take this knowledge home on loan if you like, just look for the sign to drop it if on return.
So we head to the library where we found our next clue by the book drop off sign. We were cruising now and were excited to be able to finish!
The next clue was: Sean was born in what state?
Under Utah it read: This a place that you should both know well. PICTURE in your mind a place where games are played and kids play on equipment. Down around the corner and just down the path is where the Carver crew gathered. Dressed from head to toe in matching attire a photo was taken to mark the occasion and of course your next clues location.
So this we both knew was South Hill Park, Jen had pictures taken and we take our kids to play. I was a little afraid to come upon this one. It was very dark and I knew we would have to go back in the woods. Jen and I held on to each other and ran for our lives and found our next clue: What is the name of the movie we attended on guy’s night?
They recently saw Taken and so under that it read:True love we’re taught must be cultivated and nurtured much like a garden. To find your next clue go to Connor’s old garden.
Connor had made a Connor at his school last year and I knew exactly where to go and there we found our next clue.
What is Josh’s favorite number?
#11 is his fav and under that number it read:In 1959 the Barbie doll went on sale just in time for Valentine’s day. 50 years later Barbie comes in every shape and size with every type of accessory. Some Barbie dolls even come with castles made of cardboard.
1959 was a code to get into a shed where we found the second to last clue:In what movie does Chevy Chase fantasize about playing for the LA Lakers?
Fletch: You are almost there, exercise your minds and you’ll find the next clue. The results of the work done here are often not seen……until we get home and take it all off. In the front you go, where verification takes place and ask for your package with grace.
Jen and I both knew this had to be the YMCA since it is our second home.
The 12th and finally clue read: What are the team colors of the Dallas Cowboys?
Who doesn’t know that? Blue and Silver!!!
Time to replenish the energy lost for the night is still young. Give us a call and we’ll let you know where we can be found. With plans for the night we’ll be watching the clocks: dressed in of course, our best business socks!(you will have to you tube that, if you don’t get it. It is soo funny!)
So we call and they tell us they are waiting at Red Robin to share dinner with us and we can collect our 12th and final rose.
They thought it may take 45 minutes for us to complete, took us 2 hours but it was so much fun and we had the best time. I am so lucky to have Sean as my husband and I appreciate all the hard work he and Josh put forth for a prefect Valentine’s!!
Happy Valentine’s day!!
