Cierra got to have a sleepover tonight which she was more than excited for. Maegan came over and they have been dancing to Mamma Mia, painting nails and playing their DS. She is even gracious enough to share her friend with her sisters. Kaylee's friend that was suppose to spend the night couldn't at the last minute.

Seriously..............
Am I really coming upon the teenage years of my oldest daughter, Kaylee? She will be 12 this year and this morning was a great example of the fun times I have ahead. As you can see from the picture below, there sits 17 pairs of jeans. Not 7, but 17!!!! She starts getting all huffing this morning saying she has no jeans to wear. Are you kidding me? I pulled all these out and she said none of them fit. They are all too short. Believe me, after school we will try on every last pair and get to the bottom of this. I could only wish that I had 17 pairs of jeans. Well, rest assured she didn't go to school naked. She found one that fit but what she thought was too short, I thought they actually looked a little long. This is going to be a battle and I already know how it is going to end up. We will be taking a trip to Old Navy to get new jeans.:(
I want to go back to bed. Yesterday was the longest day ever and now it starts over again. Although today is easy day with only preschool, orthodontist appt. and basketball practice for Connor. I may get through it!;0)

Brooke and Sadie
Brooke loves to feed Sadie but sometimes Sadie gets impatient and tries to attack Brooke. She thinks it's funny and wants to keep doing it!:)
ok-just so you know, that I know:I am crazy! I take way too many pictures and blog way too many things that you probably could care less about but I think my kids are kind of cute and I love to share things about them with all of you. I guess you won't look at my blog if you are tired of seeing the Elwell kids once again.;)

Brooke and her two best friends!
Brooke had a play date yesterday and had fun playing with her friends until she got tired and fell asleep. Kaylee and Isaac kept on playing and she was sad when they left because she missed out on the fun!

Happy Birthday Mom!!!
Today we celebrated my mom's birthday. The adults went to Olive Garden and the kids stayed home.(just the way I like it!) We had a great time and enjoyed spending time with our family. My mom amazes me. I won't tell you how old she is because she might get mad but I will say she is getting close to 60 and she doesn't look a day over......well I don't know but I know she doesn't look her age. I think she is beautiful and I love her so much. She has always been there for me and I appreciate her more than she will ever know. I love you mom and I hope you had a wonderful birthday!!
I was so glad she didn't drop this. I haven't had sweets in 25 days and I decided to have one today. It was ok but I am not missing much. I think I can go another 25 days.

Tag, I'm it!
So I took on the challenge from my friend Jennifer to do this tag. I thought it may me good for me to see how other people would see my house and while I am a pretty clean person, a few things made me cringe. I will give you a play by play. (just a side note: you had to take these pictures without moving a thing. A picture of exactly how the room is right now!)
My laundry room. Nothing too bad in there except laundry that needs to be changed out. Sean is working on that.
My closet. I don't have enough closet space since we use our other walk-in closet for a scrapbook room. So everything is pretty much crammed in there but we make it work. We do need to organize the clothes above.
We have been pinning up my red tablecloth at night. Now that is real attractive! Sean's hats on my dresser drives me crazy. Have you ever seen my husband wear a hat? Why do they have to sit there?
Self portrait: Yuck!
Sink: wish I could have taken the clean dishes out of the rack but I didn't cheat. You can also see Connor's science project behind the sink. How long does it take for lettuce to turn brown??
Refrigerator:
Brooke playing with cars in the closet!
Connor taking notes on his science project.

We love her/he/it!
We decided to keep her name Sadie since it was just too hard to call him something else. He doesn't seem to mind!:)

Spa Day!
Kaylee loves to play "Spa day" as she calls it. They get all the stuff out and set up in the bathroom and go to town. I think it is so cute and it is great bonding time for the girls. Connor spent the night at Jace's house so he wasn't in the way.

Brooke and her birdfeeder!
Brooke hung her birdfeeder that she made at preschool today. She was very proud of it. I think I may have to move it though, since there isn't a branch near it where a bird can sit while they enjoy this delicious treat.

Sick Day!
This was Cierra on Tuesday. I think she threw up about 15 times. So far no one else has gotten it in our family and I praying it stays that way. Hopefully me cleaning everything Cierra touched and having everyone wash their hands a gazillion times helped. I really hate the flu, and to tell you the truth, it really kind of creeps me out. I hate knowing there are germs floating around in our house. Am I weird or what? I think I am getting worse as I get older. I think about all the gross things that the kids probably touch at school that other kids touch who probably didn't wash their hands after using the restroom. Who knows? Maybe my kids are one of those kids. I guess I can't be with them 24/7 to remind them. Oh well, I will get over it.

VIP day!!!
Brooke was the VIP at preschool and she loved every minute of it. Mrs. Spencer made her fell very special and she loved wearing the special crown and being able to tell all her friends about her special things.
Brooke got to bring 5 things that were special to her and put them in the special suitcase and then share them with the class. She brought a Dora book, a princess puzzle, her monkey, a sea otter that Kaylee gave her and a picture of her whole family.

Brooke and her painting
Brooke loves to paint. I get out the paint and put on the paint shirt and she is set for hours, and I do mean hours. She sat and painted for almost three hours today!(and that makes me happy!)

Watchdog Dad!
Today Sean took the day off work so he could go to school with the kids and be the "Watchdog Dad" He was able to help out in all of their classrooms and then he ate lunch with Cierra. Other responsibilities that he had was monitoring the school grounds and making sure no one got into mischief. He took his job very seriously. He had fun and was glad he was able to spend time with the kids.
Cierra was the most excited to have daddy at school!
Connor was hoping Sean wouldn't emabarrass him!

It wasn't raining.................
so we decided to go on a bike ride to the park. We didn't get wet but we got a little cold. It was good to get out of the house though. School was cancelled yesterday due to flooding. I think it was a little ridiculous but I guess they are being safe rather than sorry. We had a good day anyways. Brooke still went to preschool and so I took the others to the library and then over to Game Stop to get Wii Sing it! It has been fun to play, and Connor is the champion so far.
