Wenatchee Half Marathon and Girl's Weekend!

We had the best time ever in Wenatchee this year! This was my 2nd year and it is definitely one of my favorites. A few things that were different from last years was my parents and my sister did their first ever half marathon. My parents walked it right around 4 hours and Mindy did a 3:09. They did great and I was so glad I could be there like they have been for me.

My pictures got all jumbled up but this was Mindy coming in to the finish!

Tiff and I walked back to meet Mindy so we were finishing the last mile with her.
This was me at the start. I looked happy and ready to go. Too bad I tanked and barely finished. My finish time was 2:22. Jenny, my running partner came in at 2:01. I should have been with her but this run was awful for me. Oh well, I will have many more!(I have another half in 3 days!)
Anna always puts so much time and effort in to this trip. She had these awesome t-shirts made for us! I loved it!!
The sisters posing for a picture!!
and then the Newbold family getting ready to take off!

Amy(my good friend) did her first 10k. I was happy she came with us on this girls weekend.. It was her first one with us.

Jenny(my amazing running partner) and my great sister!
 The whole group!
We all managed to finish. Even Anna who ran the 10k 6 months pregnant. She is amazing and will always be an inspiration to me!
Amy, Me, Mindy, Elizabeth, Anna, and Jenny! Love all these girls!

Besides running we had plenty of girls time! We went out to eat a few times, went shopping, and went and saw a movie.
UNTIL NEXT YEAR...........

Wicked and a night away!

Me, my sister, and my mom went to Portland last weekend. We had a great time. We can all get along and laugh and of course get lost together. We ate at the Old Spaghetti Factory and then went to the Wicked performance. It was just as amazing as when I saw it in New York. My mom and sister hadn't seen it before and then really enjoyed it. The next day we took a 5 mile walk and then went to the Lloyd Center for some shopping.

We got this trip for my mom for her Birthday in January. I'm glad we were able to go. I love spending time with them. My mom has worked so hard walking and eating healthy and has dropped over 50 pounds. She will be walking her first half marathon in a few weeks. I couldn't be more proud of her. She is always there for me and I as soon as I finish my half, I will go back and find her and my dad and finish it with them. I'm truly blessed!!

Brooke's 7th Birthday

Brooke celebrated her 7th birthday with 5 of her friends. We started off the afternoon with her friends coming over a playing for a few minutes. We went right into opening presents and then off we dashed to the Tacoma Mall to Build-a-bear. All the girls made their very own bear. They all loved it. A few had never been so it was especially fun for them. Brooke chose a penguin and loves it. We then went to McDonald's where we had Happy Meals all around! We stopped by and played at the play place and then over to take a train ride around the mall. We got out of there before I hit exhaustion and headed home to do cupcakes and dipping dots and sing to to the little angel!(it went very well, I was a little surprised how well it did go. I had my helper, Cierra with me and she actually made a big difference!-Thanks Cierra! you earned your $5)

Birthday fun starts early here!

Brooke will be turning 7 tomorrow! Where did time go? I'm sure it wasn't too long ago she was a little baby in my arms. She will always be my baby since she is the youngest but she is certainly growing up.
She holds a special place in my heart. She has such a cute little voice that just melts my heart. She wants me to lay with her every night before she goes to sleep and I love to snuggle with her.
Brooke is doing well at school. She is loves to read and solve math problems. If it's not raining, you can catch her outside roller skating with Baley. We got her a new pair of roller skates because she has worn through Kaylee's hand me downs. Brooke still sucks her thumb but only at night. Not sure when we will break her of that habit.(Sean sucked his thumb until this age too-don't tell him I said that!)
Yesterday Auntie took her shopping and got her the Hello Kitty outfit she is wearing. She loves it. She also got her a pair of shoes and some candy. She spoiled her and Brooke loved every minute of it. She is used to getting spoiled and I'm afraid we are creating a monster but she is our little monster and we love her to pieces!
Happy almost 7th Birthday Brooke!!!

Fun day off!

The kids had a long weekend for mid winter break so on Monday we took a drive down to Ruston Way and walked along the waterfront. Although it was rainy, we had a great time. No one complained and everyone enjoyed each others company. It was awesome! Love these kinds of days! The Conner family joined us as well.

we did a lot of rock skipping!

We were trying to throw rocks to hit a broken down dock way out there. Connor was the only one that could hit it, and believe me, Anna and I tried!(I think I threw my arm out!)

Valentines Day Dinner and Fun(early)

On Saturday we had our 4th annual Valentines Date with the Carvers! It was the ladies turn to plan so we took the easy way out. There was a MMA fight the guys wanted to go to(a guy from Silver Creek Ward was fighting) so we planned dinner at Stanley and Seafort and then we headed to the fight. It was a really fun night. I think we are going to go to Taiki's next fight as well. It was pretty cool to see, especially when a fight broke out in the audience between a girl fighter and another girl. It really isn't the scene we are used to but we still had a great time!

~Cierra's 4th grade singing concert~

Cierra had her 4th grade concert where they sang some cute songs. My favorite song was: A-your adorable, because she also sang that in preschool and it made me remember her at that age. I guess she decided she needed to grow up and get attitude. I love her anyway!
