We went to Utah over the 4th of July week. We were really craving some nice weather and Sean's family. We got both!! We had such much fun it was hard to come home. It was extra special this year since Sean has been traveling so much. He hasn't been home for more than a weekend in 11 weeks. It was nice to have the whole family together!!
The day after we got there we went to Park City for the day. It was really hot but we still enjoyed the alpine slide, The Alpine Coaster and the Zip line. Brooke joined us on the coaster but that was a mistake. It happened to be when the fires from across the mountain got really bad and ash was flying everywhere and it was getting in our eyes! She was not a "happy camper"!
Kaylee and Connor-they actually really love each other and have a good time together.
The kids with Grandma Faye!
Emma and Susana-
Julie, Me, Kim and Susanna
on our way up to do the alpine slide..............
Brooke also got to enjoy the carousel since she didn't do the zip line or the slide!
Sean and his brother-in-law Aaron. They kind of look a-like!
Snow cones from Grandma!
This was the sun when the smoke and ash got really bad.
We got together at a park with Sean's dad's side of the family. It was good to see them all and catch up. The kids liked playing in the creek.
Blake and Megan
Wayne and Lois-Sean's dad and step mom.
Getting ready for the Kaysville parade. It's a tradition to get a Slurpee before the parade starts.
Me and my favorite mother-in-law!
The fam!
Julie had just had baby Katelyn 2 weeks before we got there so it was fun to hold a new baby.
Julie had some baby owls living in her tree. They were so stinkin cute. I miss them!
Kim with all the girl cousins!
We let off fireworks and then watched a big firework show in Kent and Faye's backyard. It was pretty amazing. Utah really knows how to celebrate 4th of July. We love to go there this time of year because Washington doesn't do the big parades and firework shows!
We decided that this time we would go to Lagoon while we were there. Me and the kids have never been. I bought tickets on-line and we used them on the last day we could. It hadn't rained in Utah in months but it decided to rain that day. We went anyway and were miserable for about an hour and a half. We decided we would just try and ask if we could get a refund and believe it or not, Sean got them to refund all of our money. (Even though it says right on the ticket-no refunds) Sean took the kids to see Spider man and Brooke and I went shopping.
We drove over to the Bountiful temple to walk around. I love the spirit we feel there. It was fun to walk around with my family I will be with forever.
We went to Blake and Megan's pool to hang out one day. The kids had a great time and I got fried!
We walked around the new City Creek mall in Salt Lake. It is so big and is really amazing.
We even walked in Tiffany's. Sean said I could buy anything I wanted but I couldn't find anything so I didn't get anything.-hehe!:)
I love these two ladies. They are two of my most favorite people!
Utah 2012 was a big hit! We didn't go last year and I really missed it. Cierra and I are lucky enough that we get to fly back in September for a friends wedding and I get to see all these lovely people again!
