What we have been up to!

We have been quite busy the last few weeks and this is just a little bit of what we have been up to.
Connor likes for one of us to lay with him for a few minutes while he is getting tired and this is what I found an hour later when I hadn't seen Sean come down. He was really sleeping like this. ;) I think it's funny, but he didn't.
We went to my parents house for Thanksgiving like we do every year and had great food and of course, great company. The kids ran around like crazy and had a ball. We watched the Cowboys and thankfully they won so Sean was happy!

The kids all playing on the computer:

My dad cutting into the delicious turkey:
My mom showing off the yams that did NOT catch on fire this year:
Sean and I in our Cowboys attire:
Cierra eating a few (hundred) olives:
The kids sat in the kitchen and the adults sat in the dining room:
Sean eating a few thousand calories:He was so stuffed, he had to take a nap afterwards!
Kaylee and Chance checking out the ads and making their lists.
Brooke making her list....or drawing a picture, not sure which.
Cierra being cute!
The disaster after we made our plan of attack for Black Friday. I ended up going to Toys R Us at midnight with my friend Amy, and then to Walmart with my mom and dad and Mindy and then over to Target with Mindy. After about 13 years of doing this, I think I have finally had enough. It was more crazy than ever and we didn't get some of the stuff we wanted.
After I took a nap we went back out into it all and shopped a little bit more and then we went and got our tree. We always get it the day after Thanksgiving and we are always ready to get rid of it the day after Christmas.

I love the scented pine cones that smell up your house. They are a must have!

Cierra's name was drawn this year to put the star on the tree. This is always a big deal every year.

Socks has been enjoying laying by the fire:

The elf is back this year and has been hiding in some fun spots. The kids love to find him every morning and see where he is. Brooke has been so funny about the elf and she is trying to be really good. Yesterday when we were at the Y she asked me if the elf could see her even when she is at the YMCA. I told her he could and she was so good the whole time.(hey-whatever works!) The rule is, you can't touch the elf but I couldn't resist putting it around Brooke's neck and teasing her. She was a little freaked out and didn't quite know what to do.
Cierra got her hair cut and I think it looks adorable when she actually lets me fix it. This was yesterday before school.

Sean is off work all this week so it has been nice to have some extra help. We are trying to get some things done around the house that has been needing to get done.

I will add some more completed pictures of the decorated house soon. Sean is suppose to hang outside lights tomorrow so if that happens, I will make sure I get proof. Usually my dad does it for us because Sean is afraid of heights so we will see.

Parent helper day, Soccer and more........

I was able to be the parent helper on Feast Day at preschool. Brooke was so excited that I got to come and I was too. We had a great feast with all the fixings of a turkey dinner. Mrs. Spencer encourages the kids to try each thing and if they don't like it, they don't have to eat it. This was a little difficult for my picky eater but she did pretty good.
They did a little performance with their pilgrim and Indian costumes too. It was cute!

Brooke playing with Kaylee.

The Indians heading into the tee pee!

The feast!

The Indians becoming friends with the Pilgrims!

Getting ready to enjoy the feast!

I think she has her mouth full.

Kaylee at Connor's last soccer game. We were pretty much freezing but it was a great game and they won 2-1.

Connor did an awesome job as goalie. He was very cold when he wasn't defending the goal.
Gotta love snacks after a long hard fought game!

Kaylee loves to show her mad skills and this is one of them. She thinks it is quite cool:)
Kaylee needed a treat to bring to church last night so she whipped up a quick batch of brownies with Brooke's help.(actually all Brooke did was lick the bowl and spoon but that's ok because she is so darn cute!)
We got tired of all the dangles in Brooke's hair every morning so we decided to cut it off. It wasn't worth the fight anymore. I will get a good picture and put it on here but for now, this is it.

Sleepy kiddos!

Last night I wanted to play basketball and the kids were going to come with me since Sean was out of town. Kaylee doesn't like to stay home too late by herself. So I went upstairs to get ready and when I came back down, Connor was out like a light on the couch and nothing was moving him. So I talked Kaylee and Brooke into staying home and Cierra came with me. When I got home, this is what I found! They were so tired. I'm glad they didn't come with me. they would have been so grumpy.
Cierra was a trooper and hung and played her DS and rode her heelys around!

I'm loved!

I got out of the bath after a long day today and came downstairs and saw a note on the counter. It said, "look at your pictures on your camera" with an arrow pointing to my camera. I looked at the first picture and this is what I saw:
I thought that was so nice. They know it is going to be a long week for me and I love and appreciate them all so much!

More Halloween Fun!

Kaylee had her last volleyball game on Halloween day! She got a lot of serves over the net and that is a big accomplishment for her so she was happy. She had fun playing and I am looking forward to her trying again next year.

Brooke had a Halloween party at preschool and I came for the last few minutes to see her trick or treat at Mrs. Spencer's house. She had a lot of fun.

The whole class!:)

Cierra got to wear her costume for skate night two birthday parties and for trick or treating. I think she was tired of it by the time she was done trick or treating. This costume fit Cierra perfectly. She can be such an angel and then she can be such a devil too. I love her anyway!

Connor was this weird person. he thought it was pretty funny to scare the little kids, but Brooke wasn't afraid. She thought he was funny. Connor and Cierra went to the trunk or treat for our church and then trick or treating the next night.

The Princess group had fun trick or treating together.

Brooke, Baylie, Natalie and Ashlie

My kiddos sporting their fun costumes!

We ordered this costume online and I wasn't very happy when we got it. It made Kaylee look a little older than she is. yikes!

Connor and his friend Jace. They hit 3 neighborhoods and got a ton of candy.

Hope you all had a happy and safe halloween!
