Blake and Megan's wedding

Last week we traveled to Utah for Blake's(Sean's son) wedding. It was a crazy week but we are so glad we were able to do it. The trip started off awful and ended awful but the middle was awesome! I will write the really short version. Last Thursday(which happened to be my birthday), Sean was suppose to be arriving home from Ohio from a work trip. Well, Obama messed that up when he flew into Chicago and closed the airport down. So Sean's flight was delayed in Ohio which meant he missed his connecting flight in Chicago. The next flight out was Friday morning. My parents picked up Sean from the airport Friday morning and I went to pick up Kaylee from girls camp and then we sat in Cle Elum for 2 hours until they got there. Finally at 1pm we were on our way. We got to Utah about 3am for the wedding that was at 9:40. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple. They are so happy and we were so grateful we made it to share their special day. We were so tired that day but it was jam packed with family stuff. We had to then go to the luncheon and the reception was later that night. The next day I slept until 11. It was so needed!

Walking to the Temple!
on the temple grounds before the sealing.

After Blake and Megan were married. Megan is the sweetest most down to earth girl and they are so perfect for each other. I'm so glad they found each other. They are going to be so happy!

The Fam!

Blake and Megan's cake-it was made with rice krispies because Megan doesn't like cake. I thought it was a great idea. It was really good too.

We were so tired. We were lucky we were standing. Sean's flower on his shirt says it all. We were in the wedding line and it was funny to hear who people thought we were. I was called the sister and the brides maid. Sean was a mission companion and the best man. I guess that means we look too young to be Blake's parents. I took it as a compliment:)

Janna with her boyfriend, Zack. He is a really nice guy. He is getting ready to go on a mission soon.

Don't mind Sean's eyes being closed:~/

My parents were so nice and made the drive with us to Utah. It was nice to have them there. Of course, they support us in everything we do. I love them a ton!!!

The family. I was bummed we forgot to get Janna in this picture.

Eating the rice krispie cake!

Throwing the bouquet. Cierra was mad she didn't get it.

The next day we went over to my parents hotel and went for a swim. The kids love to swim. They were glad grandpa went with them too.

We also went to the Bountiful rec center to play.

Monday night we went with Janna to have her patriarchal blessing. It was amazing and we were so happy we were able to do this with her. Afterwards she came back to Julie's house with us to read the kids a bedtime story.

On the drive home, somewhere in Idaho we stopped by my dad's property that he shares with his brothers that was left to them by their parents. It was cool to see where my dad use to live but there is no longer a house on it and this is the only building standing on it.
My dad tried to tell Connor he was born in it but Connor didn't believe it.

We stayed at a nice hotel in Boise on the way home. The kids loved the pool. They went there 3 times.

Kaylee turned 13 on the trip so we went to the Old Spaghetti Factory for dinner.(she is celebrating with her friends tonight. (Yah for me!)

We then stopped at a hotel in Pendelton the next night and had a little surprise party for her. I had brought her presents along and we bought some yummy cookies and went in my parents room for a little party.

btw-Kaylee gets her final phase of braces on next week. She isn't very excited! Most of the tired bunch before going to bed one last time before I final leg of the trip.
Thursday morning I woke up with a pretty mad migraine. I had to deal with it for 5 hours in the car with 4 kids and a crazy drivier. It was ok until about 20 minutes from home and it got really bad. I was so nauseous and in so much pain. Finally I got sick and felt a little better. I was just glad to be sleeping in my own bed after a long trip.
We feel so blessed to have been able to take part in this special day for Blake and Megan. It was all so worth it. Who knows? We could be heading down in a year or two to see a new grandbaby! Now that is weird!
