Sandlake 2010

I took the kids camping with my parents and my sister and her family to Sandlake. We love to go ride the quads and the razor out in the many miles of sand dunes. It is a blast! Thanks to my parents for sharing all their toys. Including the trailer that we slept in so i didn't have to sleep outside with Sean.(he had to work and couldn't get away-or so he says. He is not a camper. He is a 3 a day shower kind of guy!)



The kids had fun riding, playing in the sand, climbing trees, roasting smores and even playing in the frigid water.

We had a blast but we were so glad to come home and take a shower. We were all so dirty. I'm not used to camping without showers. Especially when there is a ton of sand everywhere.

Thanks for the memories mom and dad and The Gailey clan! They will never be forgotten!

Connor's 11th Birthday

Connor celebrated his 11th birthday on Friday with 5 of his friends. Sean took them to the Meadow(our church property) where they camped out for the night. They had a lot of fun and the best part was the Sean did it all and I got to stay home. They played baseball, football, roasted hot dogs and smores and then slept in the tent. A perfect party for an 11 year old!

*a few things I love about Connor:

he is very sensitive

he loves his mom and he is not afraid to tell her:)

he gets along AWESOME with his sister Kaylee!(not so much with Cierra or Brooke but he can't be perfect, can he?)

he is always respectful

Kaylee turns 13!!

My baby girl turned 13! I can hardly believe it. She was just a baby a few days ago and now she is quite the "teenager!" Where did time go? I love this girl. She means the world to me. She has such a kind heart and is such a good example to her sisters and brother. I am so thankful for her. I know she will continue to be a great example and excel in all she does. She starts junior high in a few weeks and I am so nervous for her but she seems to be ready. She has all her school clothes laid out and ready to go, and her school supplies in her bag(not a backpack because that would be SO not cool) and ready for the first day. I think I may cry since she will be going into junior high and Brooke will be starting Kindergarten. This is going to be a hard year for me!

Anyways, Kaylee had a few friends over to celebrate her Birthday. They decorated their own cakes, had a scavenger hunt(again for the 3rd year in a row-her favorite thing to do), did makeup and jumped on the trampoline. They slept on the trampoline all night or should I say a few hours since they didn't go to bed until about 4am.

The next day we went to Lake Tapps and hung out at the lake all day. It was a beautiful day and it was so much fun. The Gaileys, and the Conners also joined us.
